Burger & Lobster - West India Quay

My experience was a pleasure from start to finish. The seafood was the clear highlight of the evening. I ordered the whole lobster with fries, and it arrived looking fantastic — exactly like something you’d hope for from a place that specialises in lobster. The lobster was fresh, nicely cooked, and served with a rich, buttery sauce that paired perfectly with the meat. The fries were crisp, golden, and plentiful, served in a stylish metal cup (as you can see in the photos) — simple but very well executed. We also enjoyed a platter of fresh oysters, which were beautifully presented on a scalloped dish with lemon wedges, a vinaigrette, and a bottle of Tabasco. The oysters were plump, briny, and chilled properly — a refreshing start to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and lively, ideal for a relaxed dinner with good food and good company. Service was friendly and efficient, and dishes arrived promptly despite how busy the place was. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re craving seafood done right. The lobster and oysters were excellent, and I’d happily come back again.

It was an amazing evening for our anniversary. The team of burger and lobster went out of the way to make it extraordinary. The table was romantic and secluded, the service was so amazing (Angie and all the others were on point), we even got a free Prosecco. The food was quickly served and tasted amazing! Alina was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome and looked after us brilliantly throughout our visit. Her friendly attitude, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out — she’s a real credit to Burger & Lobster I’m giving the food 4 stars as the temperature wasn’t quite right. The chips weren’t very fresh and were a little cold; however, the manager, Anna, handled the situation professionally and rectified everything in the end.

The food was fantastic, with a top-notch, fresh, and flavorful burger. The lobster was also fresh and perfectly cooked, and the sauces were excellent. I enjoyed the variety of tastes, freshness, and warmth of the dishes. The service was exceptional. Diva, one of the staff members, served us and took our order. She was very patient, kind, professional, and eager to provide excellent customer service. She was also very understanding when we ordered multiple items and offered top-tier service. Please thank Diva. The atmosphere is pleasant and cosy. It is very clean, child-friendly, and the staff was highly professional overall. The only downside is that the place tends to be busy, so making a reservation in advance is advisable. The wait was noticeable, but the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile.

We went in New Years Eve, good was delicious, atmosphere was amazing and Ana-G (waitress) went above and beyond to make our night special. She was polite, happy and nothing was too much trouble. It definitely was a good start to the evening

We visited Burger & Lobster at West India Quay for dinner on a Friday night, and the place was absolutely packed. First, the location. Canary Wharf used to feel quite clinical and business-only, but that has clearly changed. The area around West India Quay is now lively, busy and full of people out enjoying their evening — not just finishing work — which gives the restaurant a great atmosphere. The restaurant itself was completely full, with a lively buzz, very much like a Wetherspoons pub on a busy night — energetic, noisy and clearly popular. We started with rock oysters, lobster bisque, and a Caesar salad with lobster and quinoa. The bisque was lighter than expected — the waitress explained this was intentional as it’s designed as a starter — but it did miss a stronger lobster flavour. The Caesar salad was a bit controversial: the lobster itself was very good, but the quinoa wasn’t cooked evenly, with some parts still slightly crunchy. For all lobsters, we were asked whether we preferred them boiled or grilled. We chose boiled and did not regret it at all — the lobster was tender, juicy and nicely cooked. For mains, we also ordered the Burger & Lobster signature, which was decent and definitely enjoyable — especially for the kids. However, the real standout was the wagyu smash burger (a separate dish, not included in the Burger & Lobster combo). Smash burgers are often not very juicy, but this one was excellent — a double patty, beautifully cooked, with cheese melting in your mouth. Easily the highlight of the meal.

We had such a memorable Christmas dinner here - perfect food, staff is very warm, helpful and friendly (especially our waitress Ana G, she made our day!), atmosphere’s classy and christmasy (good music selection). We waited for the food no more than 10min and it was mouthwatering (pricing is very fair btw) - waggyu and lobster burgers, lobster ravioli, lobster+waggyu croquets, calamari and also a sticky toffee - everything just perfect. Bottle of prosecco was really nice. Thanks to Ana we want to come again and try full lobster next!

The food was great — the burger was juicy and flavorful, and the lobster was fresh and perfectly cooked and the oysters were absolutely amazing — definitely a highlight of the meal. The atmosphere is really nice, chill, and relaxing, making it a great spot to hang out. Alina was very welcoming and made the experience even better. She knows all the dishes really well and was able to recommend and explain everything confidently. Overall, amazing food, vibe, and service. Definitely coming back!
